Clouds over the Silurian Hills

Hyper-stereo (technically any stereo image with camera separation over 2.5 inches, but I don't think of them as "hyper" unless they are at least a few feet apart) images of clouds are always a challenge, which, I suppose, is one of the reasons one seldom sees them. The cameras were about 150 feet apart for this one. You have to compose the scene in one camera, then run to the other camera position (which has to be the right distance and perpendicular to the lens axis) and compose that camera, one hopes before the clouds change too much. One also needs to release both shutters at the same time, because the clouds will often move noticeably in 5 seconds or less. With a separation this far you have to have another person. With smaller separations I sometimes set the self-timer on one, then run to the other while timing the release of the self-timer.
